Sisu Tamaskans was founded in 2021 when its owner Meagan Hajjar acquired her first Tamaskan Sisu. Our kennel name is an homage to the breeds roots in Finland and also the name of our first Tamaskan puppy. Sisu is a Finnish concept without a direct translation to English which describes a character of persistence, determination, grit, tenacity and resilience in response to extreme adversity beyond normal limits of hardiness.
