The Tamaskan Dog Register, Inc. (TDR) is in the position to help breeders mindfully expand the Tamaskan Dog gene pool through the sponsorship of two or more carefully selected breedings per year, to be discussed below. This page aims to describe the conditions and requirements of receiving sponsorship, as well as the amounts corresponding to different sponsored scenarios.
This page is appropriate for all parties who are interested in the plans and goals of the Tamaskan Dog Register, Inc.

This program is in effect as of July 1, 2020. Please fill out the form below or email interest to the Committee of Breeders at [email protected]. The 12-month track of eligibility (see under, “Applicants”) is reset to July 1, 2020.
Tamaskan Dog Register Sponsorship Application (see below)
Goals
The sponsorship program is designed to:
Facilitate the expansion of the global Tamaskan Dog gene pool;
Assist TDR breeders with the expense of introducing new genetics to their breeding programs;
Encourage the international collaboration of breeders within (and beyond) the TDR community; and
Establish a long-term, healthy genetic profile of the Tamaskan Dog breed for future generations.
Stipulations
Breeders who receive sponsorship funding must use the funds as stated within their petition for sponsorship, supplied as a completed Sponsorship Application. If it is discovered that funds were misappropriated, the TDR will request the return of funds from the breeder.
Puppies resulting from a sponsored pairing will minimally be registered within the TDR, and those moved forward for breeding programs will also have their puppies (minimally) registered within the TDR.
Any breeder who fails to meet the conditions as stated above will thereafter be ineligible for further sponsorships and will additionally be considered to be in poor standing with the registry for a period of twelve (12) months.
Applicants
Sponsorships will be limited to TDR breeders who are in good standing within the registry on a first-come, first-serve basis. “Good standing” includes the following requirements:
The breeder is up-to-date on all fees and contracts within the TDR;
The breeder is not currently suspended under the TDR;
The breeder is active within the TDR community of breeders as well as owners;
The breeder has faithfully conducted all health testing on the dogs within their breeding program, as outlined within the TDR Breeding Regulations, within the previous 12-month period;
The breeder has not had any formal complaints filed against him/her/them within the previous 12-month period;
The breeder has not been formally warned by the registry within the previous 12-month period;
The breeder has not been sponsored in the previous 12-month period; and
The breeder has completed the Sponsorship Application.

Qualifications and amounts will be distributed as follows, with a minimum of two per year. No maximum number of sponsorships is set, as the number directly depends on TDR funds for the fiscal year:

The animal’s health test results meet or exceed the standards as set within the TDR Breeding Regulations; and
The resulting litter, as well as any litters from a puppy from the resulting litter, are registered with the TDR.
In the case of a new outcross applying for sponsorship: To qualify, in this case, an outcross is defined as a dog who does not have Tamaskan ancestry within three (3) generations of its pedigree.
In the case of semen importation, the request for sponsorship must be made within thirty (30) days of insemination.
The animal who is sponsored must be used with a dog who is already approved within the TDR breeding program, and is up-to-date on all requirements as stipulated within the TDR Breeding Regulations.
One sponsorship scenario will be provided for one breeding. For instance, the breeder may choose to apply for either supplementing the cost of an annual health test for an outcross, OR the importation of the outcross’ semen, but not both.
A dog who is sponsored by the TDR will be available, within the limitations as stipulated by the TDR breeding regulations, to all TDR-registered breeders. The owner or handler of the sponsored dog may not solely use the sponsored dog.
